The Western Heights Public Schools, in compliance with the Individuals with disabilities Education Act (IDEA), is looking for children and youth, from birth through age twenty-one (21), who may be in need of special education services. A free, appropriate public education is guaranteed to all severely disabled from birth through age twenty-one (21), and to all mildly/moderately disabled children ages three (3) through twenty-one (21).
Disability criteria include intellectual disabilities, hearing impairments including deafness, speech/language impairments, visual impairments including blindness, serious emotional disturbance, orthopedic impairments, other health impairments, specific learning disabilities, deaf-blindness, multiple disabilities, autism, and traumatic brain injury.
