About Us

Western Heights Public Schools

Western Heights Public Schools is an independent school district located on the south and west side of Oklahoma City.  Our history as an independent school district dates back to 1959, when the emphasis on technology and innovation was vast, and our school district was just beginning. With the assistance of our patrons and community partners, we continue to grow with state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology, and a deep commitment to every student’s success.

The mission of Western Heights Public Schools is to ensure that all Jets are "Soaring To New Heights" as they discover their pathway and develop their purpose, pride, and passion through innovative educational experiences founded in:

  • an inclusive and collaborative culture for all,

  • an engaging learning environment laser-focused on academic growth and achievement,

  • a commitment to community, partnerships, citizenship, and serving the whole person.

Our vision is for all Jets to develop purpose, pride, and passion while discovering individual pathways to success.
