ARP ESSER III Allowable Expenses Guide

The federal government has issued three rounds of relief funding to states in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The most recent allocation, created by the American Rescue Plan and referred to as ARP ESSER III, is the largest to date with $1.5 billion available to Oklahoma school districts. The focus of the ARP ESSER III funding is to assist school districts in safely reopening schools and keeping them open for in-person instruction while addressing disruptions to teaching and learning resulting from the pandemic.

ARP Plan Uses of Funds

The federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP) provides coronavirus stimulus relief for public schools. Western Heights Public Schools is committed to the Safe Return and Continuity of Services each school year and plan to utilize the funds available through ARP. The funds available require 20% to be used to address student-learning loss, with all other funds being eligible for any activity authorized by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act in addition to activities to help with the response to COVID-19.
