School Social Workers

At Western Heights Public Schools, our mission is to ensure that all Jets are Soaring to New Heights— developing purpose, pride, and passion while discovering individual pathways to success. We believe in supporting the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—through strong relationships, community partnerships, and an inclusive, engaging learning environment.

To support this mission, every school in our district has a School Social Worker on site. These professionals are trained to help students with their emotional, social, and behavioral health, providing both direct support and connecting families to helpful resources.

Services Include:

  • Emotional and behavioral health support

  • Crisis intervention and prevention

  • Social skills development

  • Family outreach and connection to community resources

  • Collaboration with educators and staff to support student well-being

By embedding social workers at each school site, Western Heights ensures that every student has access to personalized support, fostering a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Through this initiative, we remain deeply rooted in our vision: that all Jets will develop the purpose, pride, and passion needed to confidently discover and pursue their individual pathways to success.
